Yes, Khun Andrew MacGregor Marshall, Thank you very much for an insightful article again krub. Liked you always said, in Thailand we are revere dogs for it's blind loyalty while don't give a shit on humanity and basic human rights. this is one reason that I've rather chose two cats as my boy and my life companion instead of dogs because of cats, they are natural born Rebellion!!!

thank you for a quite novel and enlightening piece, Andrew-

it is still quite dispiriting the extent that many Thais still revere Bhumibol; although when he lived several of my Thai friends would express privately with me that Sirikit was in charge of much of the methamphetamine smuggling in the kingdom via 'her' military faction (the Eastern Tigers, i believe the name was), even after his passing people are still disbelieving (and disinterested) in hearing any negative things about Bhumibol, no matter the veracity!

however, long before his ascension to the throne as Rama X, Vajiralongkorn was (almost) openly despised by every Thai i talked with privately, even by those who revere(d) his father...
